# Privacy Policy
**Effective date: October 9, 2026**
Florida Tax Auctions, operated by Surplus Database LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”), operates https://www.floridataxauctions.com. This policy explains how we handle information associated with our website, memberships, communications, and related services.
## Information we collect
Depending on how you use our services, we collect:
– Information you provide when registering, purchasing a membership, or contacting us, such as your name, email address, account information, and correspondence.
– Membership and transaction information, such as your selected plan, payment status, subscription status, and transaction identifiers.
– Technical information generated when you visit our website, such as your IP address, browser type, pages requested, and access times.
– Publicly available property, auction, and related records used to provide our research services.
Public records displayed through our services are separate from information you provide as a website visitor or member.
## How we use information
We use information to operate the website, manage accounts and memberships, process payments, provide requested records and reports, send account and service notifications, answer questions, investigate technical problems, prevent misuse, and meet applicable legal obligations.
## Payments
Payments are processed through Stripe. Stripe handles payment information under its own privacy policy. We receive information needed to manage purchases and subscriptions, such as payment status and transaction identifiers.
Please review [Stripe’s Privacy Policy](https://stripe.com/privacy) for information about its handling of payment data.
## Cookies and tracking
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies for functions such as signing in, maintaining sessions, and managing membership access. Blocking these cookies may prevent some features from working.
## Google and Gmail connection
The Florida Tax Auctions Email application connects our administrative Gmail account, surplusdatabase@gmail.com, to WordPress through WP Mail SMTP. Visitors and members do not need to connect their own Google accounts.
We use this connection to send website emails, including account, password reset, membership, payment, and requested service notifications. The integration handles the authorized account’s address, authorization tokens, and outgoing message information needed for delivery. Tokens are stored in the website configuration; sent messages and delivery records may remain in Gmail or website logs.
Google-derived information is used only for this email functionality. It is not sold or used for advertising or general AI model training. Sharing is limited to delivering this functionality with authorization, security needs, or legal requirements.
Our handling of Google API data follows the [Google API Services User Data Policy](https://developers.google.com/terms/api-services-user-data-policy) and the [Google Workspace user data and developer policy](https://developers.google.com/workspace/workspace-api-user-data-developer-policy), including their Limited Use restrictions.
The account owner can revoke access through their Google Account permissions.
## When information is shared
We share information with service providers as needed to operate the website, host data, process payments, deliver email, and provide technical support. Our current services include GoDaddy hosting, Stripe payments, and Google/Gmail email delivery through WP Mail SMTP.
We may also disclose information when required by law or reasonably necessary to address fraud, security incidents, or threats to rights and safety. Google-derived information remains subject to the restrictions described above.
## Retention and security
We retain information for as long as reasonably needed to provide services, maintain necessary business records, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. Retention periods vary by the type of information and its purpose.
We take reasonable measures to protect information. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
## Your choices and requests
You may contact surplusdatabase@gmail.com to request access to, correction of, or deletion of information associated with your account. We may need to verify your identity before responding. Some records may need to be retained for legal, accounting, security, or dispute resolution purposes.
Deleting a website account does not necessarily cancel a recurring subscription. Follow the cancellation instructions in our Terms of Service or contact us for assistance.
Requests concerning publicly sourced records will be reviewed separately. Changing our website does not change the original government or third-party record.
## Children
Our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information.
## Other websites
Our website may link to government websites and other third-party services. Their information practices are governed by their own policies.
## Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our services or practices change. We will update the effective date and provide additional notice when required by applicable law.
